This week’s scavenger hunt question: Reflecting back a few weeks when the Cathedral of Notre Dame was burning, many Catholics called upon French Saints for their intercession. In our church, we have numerous images and statues of French Saints. Can you find all of them? Post pictures of what you find.
Please pray for our Ste. Genevieve County 8th graders who will receive the Sacrament of Confirmation from St. Louis Auxiliary Bishop Mark S. Rivituso tonight.
Our scavenger hunt question for this week was. Can you identify the item in this photo? Explain the meaning of this item and post a picture of what you find. Jo Ann gave a great answer! It is the Paschal Candle! It is made of beeswax representing Christ’s purity. The wick represents His humanity, the flame His Divine Nature, and the Alpha and Omega reminds us that He is the beginning and the end. Lit on Holy Saturday night from the new and blessed fire, 5 grains of incense are inserted to recall the aromatic spices used to prepare His body, and also the wounds in His hands, feet, and side. It is lit during the 50 days of Easter, and remains in the Sanctuary. After Pentecost it is lit for Baptisms and funerals.
The second graders of Ste. Genevieve Parish received their First Holy Communion in glorious fashion! Pray for those little ones as they have taken their next sacramental step into the Church.
Please pray for our second grade of children who are making their First Holy Communion today!
Please prayerfully consider making a gift to ACA. Cards are available in church! www.archstl.org/aca

With great reverence in preparation for the Sacred Triduum, The Most Holy Blessed Sacrament was moved in procession from our Adoration Chapel into Church. Parishioners along with Valle Catholic students lined the streets for the solemn procession to venerate our Lord. The Blessed Sacrament is exposed in Church until 6:45 tonight when there will be solemn Benediction followed by Stations of the Cross. Confessions will also be available in church this evening.
